Mr. Lobo has been with CASL and the Center of Excellence (COE) since May 2003. As Assistant Director of the Center, his responsibilities include conducting research on jet engine emissions and assisting in the direction of research, personnel, financial and operational activities of the COE.

His duties related to research include coordination experimental design and field measurement preparations, participation in measurements of jet engine emissions, analysis of data, and preparation of reports. His duties related to management include supervision of daily research activities, management of the budget, management of special projects assigned by the Director, serving as a point of contact for sponsors and partners, and representing COE at meetings and conferences.

Mr. Lobo has been an Investigator on several projects funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA),National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the Transportation Research Board (of the National Academies). 

In 2007, Mr. Lobo was selected to participate in the University of Missouri Administrative Leadership Development Program.

Mr. Lobo is an avid runner and has completed 4 full marathons and 8 half marathons.
